An Example of the Application of Linear Programming in Determining the Optimal Product Mix in a Bakery — Przegląd piekarski i cukierniczy 2020-11

The article addresses the problem of determining the optimal production plan in a bakery in order to achieve maximum profit with limited resources. The author shows that this is an issue from the field of operations research, more specifically linear programming. In the technical part, a mathematical model is presented: decision variables, an objective function maximizing profit, and linear constraints related to the availability of raw materials. The problem was solved using the simplex method and computational tools. The result was the determination of the most profitable production structure.
